Example of work, not a client review scenario: Owner of an online tea shop · what a finished job from Sofia looks like · turnaround 2 hrs
Package: One-question data report · $45 · 2 hrs
Short answer: it looks like order size went up about $9, and the number of orders didn't drop by much. I'm fairly sure about the first part and less sure about the second.
WHAT I LOOKED AT
4,812 orders from January to October. 5 months before the change (Jan to May), 5 months after (Jun to Oct).
CHART 1: AVERAGE ORDER SIZE
Average order went from $41.20 before to $50.10 after.
How sure: fairly sure. The jump happened the week of the change, and it held every month after.
CHART 2: ORDERS PER WEEK
Orders went from about 118 a week to about 108, around 8% fewer.
How sure: not very sure. Summer is usually slower for tea, and I only have one summer of data.
CHART 3: ORDERS JUST OVER THE LINE
After the change, 31% of orders landed between $50 and $55. Before, it was 6%.
How sure: very sure. That's people adding something to reach free shipping.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR REVENUE
| Before | After | |
|---|---|---|
| Orders per week | 118 | 108 |
| Average order | $41.20 | $50.10 |
| Weekly revenue | $4,862 | $5,411 |

About $550 more a week. But shipping costs on bigger boxes may eat into that. I don't have your shipping costs, so I can't say for sure.
WHAT I'D CHECK NEXT
- Compare this summer to last summer, if you have 2025 data.
- Add your shipping costs, to see the real profit change.
- See which items people added to reach $50. Those might be worth putting near the cart.
CAVEATS
10 months is not a lot of data. A holiday season could change the picture.
